What Is Pre Menopause?


In the years running up to your own menopause age, you will have little time, or interest in, reading anything in relation to the premenopause conditions you will come to know, or the reality that you are fast approaching the menopause age. You are a fit, healthy and young, but the reality is that the menopause is not confined to old, frail. Or unfit women. Your body will not coordinate its menopause schedule with your appointment book, so it will be important for you to understand the premenopause symptoms before they are upon you.

What women need to understand is that approaching pre menopause, and therefore getting closer to your actual menopause age, is not the end of the world. The menopause is not a horrible condition or dramatic disease, it is an event, a passage or even a personal evolution. As a woman it will be your job to know how best you can care for your body during this time of transition, and to be aware of all the possible pre menopause symptoms, and menopause symptoms that you may be faced with. So how do you know when you are menopausal?, What is the menopause? What should you expect to happen during the experience?

There is such a lot of information out there in relation to the menopause, much of it conflicting and confusing. It is therefore easy to be overwhelmed by it and to be frightened by your approaching menopause age and any pre menopause symptoms you may think you are experiencing, or about to experience. Every day there are new scientific developments which change what we know about the menopause and the safety and effectiveness of common treatments.

The menopause is an event in every woman’s life which will have important repercussions for anyone who lives with and or loves a menopausal woman. The majority of women will gladly discuss career, children, home life and other issues with friends and family, many women will find it difficult to talk about the menopause age, and any pre menopause symptoms they may be having. They feat that it is too personal and some even consider it too socially unacceptable.
